Day 29 of #Recovery: #KobeBryant over #MichaelJordan? How? Because the #statistics say so? Yeah, ok. In this matter, until you control an era in sports, have a complete country of children eating their #Wheaties and practicing to be like you, you’re not the best. #JustMyThoughts. I’m not saying #Kobe isn’t good, I’m just saying, #Mike is #TheBar. Hope you enjoy.
Day 28 of #Recovery: #Loyalty & #Love Not a long story at all. Just what was on my mind at the moment. I grabbed my #SketchPad, doodled some little images as they came, scanned them into illustrator, traced them, added a #PaintBucket that I found, reworked and gave some threshold value to, threw the #ROSESandDAFFODILS color swatches on there, scribbled a background, and Boom, #FIN. Thank you all for coming, #GodBlessYou / #GoodNight.
Day 27 of #Recovery: #BlackLivesMatter #Awareness #Ribbon. This needs to go into effect. Not really the ribbon, but the awareness. This morning when I woke up, not sure what channel it was on, but there was a group of young black men speaking on the current issues of #injustice in our country. A country that is more so rightfully ours, we built it (for free / by demand), and still maintain it. I’m not racist by far, and I’m not putting blame on white people for the things that have been going on; the blame is completely on #America’s Justice System. It is clearly unfair, and proven to be unfair towards black people. The lack of indictments or any charges to these officers is insane! They’ve unrightfully killed people and got off scott free with it. While in turn, a teenage boy in Florida gets a definite 23 years in jail for killing a police dog. This is what they think of us… Clearly a dog’s life is worth more than the life of a black mans. Just my thought’s ladies & gentleman, just my thoughts.
Day 26 of #Recovery: #LaurynHill is the personification of #Talent. I was listening to #TheFugees #Vocab remix. It always takes me back to the first time I heard it. The content and styles that she contributed to the group is most of what made them #Legendary. She had a line on there where she said “I pay the toll fighting for my own soul / 'Cause the bourgeoisie type of mental sucks like a flat comb”… this was back when it was ok to include messages in a #HipHop song. The thing about her being a female emcee was cool… but that fact that she was better than mostly every other emcee in the industry in her era was the impressive part, and on top of that, she could sing… well. She’s also ranks #2 for most #Grammy nominations in one night. I could go on, and on, and on, but what’s the use? From what I see on #YouTube, she’s still performing here and there, dope! Lauryn is definitely one of those people on my #MustSee perform live list. I’m just taking today’s piece to acknowledge talent. Raw Talent. L. Boogie, Thank you.
Day 25 of #Recovery: #ChallengeYourself. Today has been a little bit of a challenge for me. I try to keep myself reminded that #God wont give me more than I can handle. Life is unknown, except for the present moment that you’re in… which you have TOTAL control over, don’t ever believe otherwise. This journey comes fully equipped with non-stop loops, turns, bumps, and falls. Sometimes, these obstacles make life seem hard, but you know the saying, “when life gives you lemons, make lemon Italian ice (or something like that)”… this is the challenge. Challenge your #beliefs, your #faith, your #love, your #ambition, your #skills, your knowing that God is always walking with you. So many things are made to make us feel like this life is hard, don’t believe that. Our life is a gift; embrace it, with all of its goods and bads. The unique part about challenging yourself is, it’s a win/win situation… so why not go for it? I hope you enjoy.
