Day 16

Day 16 of #Recovery: #JayWalk #ColorOutsideTheLines. Today’s piece sort of has a double meaning as to why I did it. I wanted to do something with shapes and that’s kind of outside of my character as an artist. I believe as an artist, there shouldn’t be any lines. So if I want to do something very in depth one day, and something extremely simple the next, it should be ok… I’m allowed to. We all are allowed to do what we want, to do what we feel. Our only restriction is our own doubt or fear. The other meaning kind of revolves around what’s going on in #America (aka #Amerikkka) today. I kind of feel less and less like abiding by the “systems” rules. I feel like #JayWalking… without the risk of being #shot, #choked, or #beat for it. I feel more and more like having my rights. My rights to be a #human, to be #equal, to be #free, to #express myself… and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. P.S. My surgery incision is healing pretty well.
